Restorative Justice
Have you been impacted by crime, either as a perpetrator or victim? Often, victims of crime describe feeling unsatisfied with the criminal justice process- feeling unheard, not included, and as if their needs are not considered.
Restorative Justice gives victims of crime the opportunity to ask questions about what happened, explain the impact on them, and be part of the next steps.
We can accept self-referrals for Restorative Justice work on a case by case basis. We advise you to find out more about Restorative Justice from an initial conversation with one of Belong’s Restorative Justice Practitioners. From an initial conversation, you aren’t committing to engaging in a restorative justice process – and the conversation can be helpful in itself.
