Scotland, England and Wales have the highest imprisonment rates in Western Europe. In June 2022, the prison population stood at 80,659. Our recidivism rates are also growing.
Often, victims of crime describe feeling unsatisfied with the criminal justice process- feeling unheard, not included, and as if their needs are not considered.
Our services give both victims and perpetrators the space to be heard, and the hope to move forward positively. We have a genuine belief, that with the right support, people can change.

Fundraise for Us
Do you share our commitment to reducing crime and the harm that is causes? By fundraising for Belong, you could help people impacted by crime to cope and recover. Fundraising could mean hosting your own event, taking on a challenge or doing something completely different! Get in touch to talk about your ideas.

Payroll Giving
Help give us a regular payday. Payroll Giving allows you to donate directly from you pay to Belong. Regular donations give the chance to develop and plan for the future, and it is really easy to set up and maintain
Tax free donations allow you to give more for less. Your donation is calculated after your National Insurance contribution, but before Income Tax is deducted; this means part of your donation comes from money that would otherwise have been taken by HMRC. For example, if you are a basic rate taxpayer and give £20 a month to Belong through Payroll Giving, the tax relief means that this will only cost you £16.
To get started, ask your employer if they are signed up to a Payroll Giving Scheme. If they are, they will give you a form to get started. If they aren’t, then they can find out a list of payroll giving agencies on the gov.uk* website. We recommend the Charity Aid Foundation’s ‘Give as your Earn’ scheme.
Non-financial support
Do you have a skill that can help reduce crime and the harm that it causes?
Donating money isn’t the only way you can give to Belong. We are always in need of volunteers in a variety of different roles. We have volunteer openings in our prison & community projects, as well as remote volunteering opportunities – you can make a huge difference from home, at a time that suits you
Graphic designers, social media experts, bid-writers, fundraisers, e-mail marketers, website designers… we would love to speak to you. We would be happy to discuss an arrangement that suits you and your schedule and works for both of us. You will receive full-support and will be a valued member of our small but dedicated team.
