Belong’s BBC Radio 4 Appeal

In 2020, Belong’s successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal raised over £20,000 in vital funds to reduce crime and the harm that it causes.

Vocal coach and choral director, Mark De-Lisser, made an appeal on behalf of Belong: Making Justice Happen. Since 2008, Mark has been involved in a vast array of TV shows, as everything from vocal coach and musical director to presenter and host. TV programmes include Our Dementia Choir with Vicky McClure (BBC1), The Masked Singer (ITV), The Voice UK (ITV), and Songs of Praise (BBC1). As someone who shares Belong’s belief that creativity can help unlock potential, Mark is a supporter and friend of Belong.

In the appeal, Mark shares the story of Callum. Callum who went to prison when he was 15 years-old. He took part in our PLAN A programme, and has turned his life around.
